Description
The RBS Global Banking and Markets (GBM) Investment Banking Day (IBD) 2011 is a unique opportunity to experience all the dynamic and exciting aspects of working for one of the largest Investment Banks in Europe. Throughout the day you’ll closely cooperate with other participants on a landmark deal covering all aspects of Investment Banking and have the chance to get acquainted with RBS professionals from the different products fields within GBM the Netherlands. You will learn about Corporate Finance, Coverage, Debt & Equity Capital Markets, Transaction and Portfolio Management, Sales, Trading and Research. If you have a keen interest in finance, this is the best way to find out what it’s like to be an Investment Banker!
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for highly motivated students who are in the final stage of their study and are looking for a challenging career or internship within Investment Banking. Outline of the day
Introduction to RBS
To start the IBD day we would like to take the opportunity to introduce RBS and the broad range of possibilities and roles we can offer. During the rest of the day you will have the chance to chat with us and ask questions one-on-one, about RBS or anything else!
The Deal
You will be re-enacting an actual landmark deal that RBS NL has executed recently. This will help you to understand the different kinds of markets and industries we are active in and in what way. Working on this deal will give you an insight into the exciting and challenging world of Investment Banking. You will be forced to think about all areas of RBS Investment Banking: Corporate Finance, Debt & Equity Capital Markets and Risk Management. This will enable you to show and practice your team working, negotiation and analytical skills.
Closing dinner
As is traditional, the completion of the deal will be celebrated by a 'closing dinner' - which will be a fun conclusion of the day.
