The technology has matured and is now moving into new realms, combing other automation solutions and integrating AI. Which new intelligent automation solutions are out there, which solutions did Capgemini already implement and how could you address all those automation questions?
Since RPA is “taking the robot out of the human”, this event RPA & Beyond will all about “every human deserves an ever more intelligent robot”. Chatbots, which uses NLP/NLG, combined with RPA as a solution which ensures that relevant information of an interaction with a chatbot is directly transferred into the ERP systems (e.g. changes in master data like address/accounts can be communicated via a chatbot and processed directly with RPA).
Another technology we can incorporate in RPA solutions is the use of Intelligent Character Recognition (ICR). This is basically the Optical Character Recognition (OCR) incorporated with AI functionalities. Where, stand alone RPA can only process structured information, ICR is able to convert unstructured data into a structured dataset (e.g. incoming invoices in different formats and layouts are being structured by ICR and RPA is able to process them into the ERP systems). Hence, due too the maturing of different technologies the number of use cases for Intelligent Automation are increasing rapidly.
